BEFORE YOU SHOP

Check the conditions and settings before ordering, then go through Moppy. On a PC, use toolbar notifications as an extra reminder.

  • Phone: use a normal browser window and check tracking settings first.
  • PC: notice eligible shops through the official toolbar and complete the referral step.
  • After ordering: save the email and order number, then check pending and approval estimates.

When shopping at places such as Rakuten Ichiba or Yahoo! Shopping, going through Moppy and meeting the offer conditions can earn Moppy points. I am Taka; I have used Moppy since 2019 and have shopped through these stores.

Forgetting the referral step or overlooking a device setting can mean missing points. This guide brings together five shopping steps, phone settings and the PC toolbar. These checks reduce avoidable mistakes, but points still depend on eligibility and tracking.

Your pre-purchase checklist

Check these items before placing the order, rather than after paying.

  • Eligibility: confirm products, first-time or repeat use, coupons and store-point payments.
  • Device: confirm the offer’s required device, browser and purchase route.
  • Browser: use normal mode rather than private/incognito mode or an app’s built-in browser.
  • Tracking: check cookies and tracking settings before using the advertisement.
  • Referral: use “POINT GET!” or complete the toolbar’s referral instructions.
  • Route: do not switch through other points websites, coupon sites or browsers before checkout.
  • Follow-up: note pending-entry and approval estimates, inquiry deadlines and guarantee labels.
Make the reminder easy to find

On a phone, bookmark the shop’s Moppy advertisement and start shopping there. On a PC, keep the toolbar accessible in Chrome so its notifications can remind you.

Some offers have rules about adding items to the cart before visiting Moppy or ordering from favorites. Follow the current advertisement rather than assuming your usual method qualifies.

Five steps for shopping through Moppy

1. Open the shop’s advertisement on Moppy

Log in and search for the shop. Decide what you need before looking at rewards, so points do not encourage extra purchases.

2. Read earning and exclusion conditions

Check whether repeat purchases qualify and whether coupons or store points can be used. Tax, shipping and discounts may be treated differently when calculating rewards. Also check returns, cancellations, order changes and expected tracking or approval dates. Save the conditions that applied when ordering.

3. Select “POINT GET!” to enter the shop

Use the advertisement’s purchase button. Simply opening Moppy or reading an advertisement is not the referral step. Labels may vary by device or offer.

4. Complete checkout without detours

Stay with the browser and route specified. Other affiliate links, coupon sites, devices or browsers may interfere with tracking. If the shop opens its app, first check whether app purchases qualify; do not switch merely for convenience halfway through.

If you pause before ordering, recheck the terms and go through Moppy again when resuming. Going through Moppy after an order is complete does not retroactively qualify it.

5. Keep the completion email and order number

Save the order details until points are approved. They can help when submitting an inquiry or guarantee claim.

Phone settings that can affect tracking

iPhone: check Safari’s cross-site tracking setting

Moppy advises turning off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” (“サイト越えトラッキングを防ぐ”) before using an advertisement, because restrictions may interfere with measurement.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Apps → Safari. On older iOS versions, Safari may appear directly in Settings.
  3. Turn Prevent Cross-Site Tracking off.
  4. Following the official instructions, check that cookies are not entirely blocked.

This relates to Safari’s tracking prevention. Turning it off relaxes restrictions on tracking across websites. Understand the privacy effect before deciding. Make changes before the referral step; avoid changing settings or clearing cookies during an order.

App-based offers may separately require app tracking permission. See Moppy’s iPhone settings guide (Japanese) and Apple’s Safari privacy explanation (Japanese).

Use a normal Safari or Chrome window

Avoid private/incognito mode. Links from LINE, X or email can open an in-app browser. Before shopping, open Moppy in the recommended browser’s normal mode and enter the shop from there. This helps avoid changing browsers partway through.

Android and PCs also need settings checks

Cookie restrictions, ad-blocking tools and unstable connections can also affect tracking. Consult the official list of tracking issues for your environment. Correct settings do not replace checking purchase eligibility.

PC users: reduce forgotten referrals with Moppy Toolbar

What is Moppy Toolbar?

It is Moppy’s official Google Chrome extension for PCs. Add it and log in to receive prompts on supported shops. Treat the notification as a reminder to complete the referral action before ordering.

Benefit 1: a notification reminds you at an eligible shop

A supported visit can trigger an on-screen prompt, so you do not have to rely only on memory.

Benefit 2: less searching for the same shop again

Use “モッピー経由で利用する” (Use via Moppy) and select the relevant advertisement. You can follow the prompt instead of returning to Moppy’s homepage and searching again.

Benefit 3: check the first-installation reward

As checked on 30 October 2026, the official page advertises 30P for a first installation, subject to conditions including first-time installation and confirmed login. It says these points do not appear as pending and are credited within two days. Check current terms before adding it.

From installation to checkout

  1. Open the official toolbar page in PC Chrome and follow its Chrome Web Store link.
  2. Review requested permissions and add the extension.
  3. Open its Moppy icon from Chrome’s extensions menu and log in.
  4. At a supported shop, use the notification button, select the advertisement and complete the referral step.
  5. Check the offer conditions and finish checkout.
Installing it does not qualify every order automatically
  • This guide concerns PC Chrome, not the same extension on phone Chrome or Safari.
  • Do not stop at seeing the prompt: complete the indicated referral action.
  • Some Moppy advertisements are not supported by the toolbar. If no prompt appears, check the advertisement on Moppy and go through it directly.
  • Other points websites’ toolbars may conflict with tracking. Do not activate multiple referral routes for the same order.

Keep records and schedule your checks

  • Shop and advertisement name, and date you used Moppy.
  • Order number, date, amount and products.
  • A saved copy of the offer’s earning and exclusion conditions.
  • Pending and approval estimates, and inquiry deadlines.
  • Guarantee labels and the ledger entry’s date and status.

Move order emails into a dedicated folder and add reminder dates to your calendar. Hide personal details in public images; submit the information requested through official support forms.

If points do not appear: pending entry and approval are different

Check which stage you are waiting for

予定反映 is the estimated time until an entry appears as 判定中 (pending). Pending points cannot yet be redeemed. 確定反映 is the expected time until the eligibility decision and approval. Cancellations or returns can affect eligibility.

A missing entry immediately after checkout does not necessarily mean failure. Check the advertisement’s estimate and inquiry deadline. Some offers go directly to approval without a pending entry.

Use the guarantee that matches the ledger status

Two guarantees for different situations
StatusWhat to check
No pending entryトラもれ保証 (Tracking omission guarantee): the advertisement must carry that label, and its pending-entry estimate must have passed.
Still pending after the approval estimateお買い物あんしん保証 (Shopping peace-of-mind guarantee): check the guarantee label and the existing pending entry.
Rejected or outside guarantee coverageCheck whether the advertisement accepts a normal points inquiry and its deadline. Not every advertisement can be investigated.

The official FAQ describes a 30-day application window after the pending-entry estimate for the tracking omission guarantee, and a 150-day window after the approval estimate for the shopping guarantee. Check exact eligibility and submission dates on the official form.

A missing ledger entry is not automatically a shopping guarantee case. Nor does a guarantee retroactively cover an order where you forgot to go through Moppy. See the official comparison (Japanese).

Prepare the order records and use official support

Have the date, advertisement, order number and purchase evidence ready. Submit through the applicable guarantee form or official inquiry channel. For the next steps, see the missing-points and guarantee guide.

Make a short check part of shopping

Before ordering: read conditions → check settings → go through Moppy. Afterwards: save records → check the ledger. Use toolbar prompts on a PC and start from a normal browser on a phone. A calm pre-purchase check helps reduce missed rewards while keeping shopping within your existing plans.

Common shopping and toolbar questions

Can I go through Moppy after ordering?

No. A completed order cannot be retroactively qualified by visiting Moppy afterwards.

Does installing the toolbar guarantee points?

No. Complete its referral instructions and meet the offer conditions. It does not resolve every tracking or eligibility issue.

Can I use this toolbar on a phone?

The extension described here is for PC Chrome. On a phone, use the advertisement’s recommended browser in normal mode and go through Moppy.

Is an entry missing right after ordering a failure?

Not necessarily. Check the expected pending-entry time first, then the inquiry or guarantee conditions if it has passed.

Can foreign residents use points websites?

Nationality alone does not establish eligibility. Check each service’s current membership rules, age and residence requirements, accepted phone authentication and identity documents. An advertiser or redemption provider may apply different conditions from the points website. Pivox does not confirm individual eligibility or promise approval. Official registration and support screens may be in Japanese; this is an independent guide, not an official English service.

Before registering, check the spelling of your name, Japanese address and phone authentication on the official form. Where a bank account is required, confirm the account-holder name and supported account type with the redemption provider. Do not invent a kana spelling or abbreviate a name just to pass a form. Ask official support if your name cannot be entered correctly.

Moppy explicitly asks users to use the service within Japan and does not guarantee or support overseas use.
