Yahoo! Shopping points in Japan: PayPay rewards plus points-site rewards

Two reward systems for one eligible purchase

Yahoo! Shopping Japan is the shopping marketplace. A points website, such as Moppy or Point Income, is a separate service that introduces you to the shop. Start from its Yahoo! Shopping offer before purchasing: if the order meets both services’ conditions, you may earn rewards from both.

“Double rewards” (Wポイント) means rewards from two services. It does not mean the PayPay reward rate automatically doubles. The extra reward normally goes to your points-site account, separately from PayPay Points. Yahoo! Shopping benefits depend on your order, account, payment method and applicable campaign.

How to use a points website before shopping

1. Choose one points website.

   Check the recorded rates below, then confirm the actual offer. Yahoo! JAPAN / PayPay accounts and points-site accounts are separate.

2. Register if needed and save the offer conditions.

   Check eligibility, eligible stores and products, cart and app rules, approval timing and missing-points support.

3. Click through before adding items and checking out.

   Follow the selected offer’s sequence. Do not switch to another points website or advertising link on the way to purchase. Check whether another order requires a fresh click-through.

4. Keep your order details and check both records.

   Save the order number, date and amount. Check Yahoo! Shopping / PayPay benefits and the points website’s ledger separately. Pending is not the same as approved.

For example, Moppy’s Yahoo! Shopping offer excludes purchases through the Yahoo! Shopping app. It also requires adding items to the cart within 24 hours after clicking through and completing payment within 89 days; items already in the cart before clicking through are excluded. These are Moppy’s rules, not a rule shared by every points website.

Click through again for another order

Moppy instructs users to return through its offer before another purchase after checkout, including purchases from additional stores. Check your chosen website’s instructions each time.

PayPay payment and paying entirely with points differ

Moppy lists PayPay payment as eligible, but excludes orders paid entirely with PayPay Points or other points. Coupon treatment also depends on who issued the coupon. Read the detailed calculation rules, not just the payment-method name.

Yahoo! Shopping campaigns have separate requirements

Entry, membership, payment method, eligible stores, reward type and limits may differ by campaign. Confirm current details on Yahoo! Shopping. Do not add a campaign headline percentage to a points-site rate and assume every order earns that total.

Some offers do not accept missing-points investigations; Moppy’s Yahoo! Shopping offer states that point investigations are unavailable. Check this before buying.

For foreign residents of Japan

Yahoo!ショッピング means Yahoo! Shopping, ポイント means points, and ポイントサイト means a points website. This guide is for shopping on the Japanese service. It is an independent explanation, not an official English registration or support service.

Check each service’s residence, age, phone-verification and redemption requirements. Use your correct name and Japanese address. If a form cannot accept your details, ask official support rather than changing your identity information. A redemption provider may require its own identity or bank-account checks.

Questions before your first purchase

Are the extra rewards paid directly into PayPay?

Usually they are that points website’s own rewards. Check its available redemption options, minimums, fees and point value before registering.

Can I click through after placing the order?

Do not assume an existing order can be credited afterwards. Start from the offer before shopping and follow its conditions.

Can I earn from several points websites for the same order?

Choose one points website; do not assume a single order can earn rewards from several referral routes.

What if points do not appear?

Identify which service’s rewards are missing and compare the order with its expected timing and conditions. For points-site rewards, follow that website’s offer-specific support rules; do not ask the store to investigate another service’s points.
